The Pricing Rule setting will let you choose what kind of price markup you want to apply to the products you are selling to cover your expenses.

Introduction

The pricing rule settings are divided into two parts:

-Shop settings

-Prices Assigned Cents

As stated, the "pricing rule will automatically apply when products are imported to Shopify with Bestdealer."

Please note: Global Pricing Rules work differently if you are not selling in USD on Shopify.

If you want to set prices for your products in bulk, you can use the "Pricing Rules" feature. You will find it by going to Settings > Pricing Rules page.

Understanding the "Price" Setting

You can set the new price for your products in the "price" setting. You can use the "X" or "+" techniques, which are explained below in more detail.

"X" multiplies the original product price as many times as you choose. For example, a product that costs $3 in the supplier's store with an "X" of 3 would have a price of $9 in your Shopify store.

"+" allows you to set a fixed amount that is added on top of the original product price. For example, a product that costs $4 with a fixed markup of 3 would result in a price of $7 in your Shopify store.

Understanding the "Compared at Price" Setting

The "Compared at a price" technique allows you to create artificial product sales in your Shopify store. To enable them, toggle the setting and add your desired "X" or "+."

Take note: That the set "Compared at a price" value should be higher than the "Price" setting value.

For example, if the product costs $10.00 at the supplier's store, and you set the "Price" multiplier to 3 and the "Compared at price" multiplier to 6, then this product will cost $30.00 in your Shopify store. The old product price will be shown at $60.00.

Understanding the "Advanced Pricing Rules" Setting

The Advanced pricing rules feature used to set the product prices depending on different suppliers' product price ranges. This is especially effective when you are selling different types of products, and their cost range is really wide.

To enable them, toggle the setting, add your desired cost ranges and then multipliers or fixed markups. You can enable the "Compared at price" option too.

would look like:

The supplier's price is $5.00 --> the product will cost $25.00 in your store.
The supplier's price is $15.00 --> the product will cost $60.00 in your store.
The supplier's price is $25.00 --> the product will cost $75.00 in your store.
The supplier's price is $35.00 --> the product will cost $70.00 in your store.

Note: You can choose whether to add shipping cost on both basic or advanced pricing rules.

Understanding the "Assign Cents" Setting

The "Assign cents" feature allows you to have rounded product prices in the Shopify store.

For example, if the product costs $3.50 at the supplier's store, and you have the global pricing rules multiplier set to 3, and assign cents set to 99, the product price will be set at $10.99 in your Shopify store.

Calculation: $3.50 x 3 = $10.50 (However, due to the assign cents feature, Topdser changed the price to $10.99)

Once you make any changed on the "Pricing Rules" page, don't forget to save them.
